We are testing a Sony KD-49XG9005 TV with a bright 4K panel and support for Android TV. Read all the details about the model in our review.
Advantages and disadvantages in detail
The biggest plus of the Sony KD-49XG9005 is its image quality. In addition to HDR 10 and high resolution, the picture boasts high brightness and good contrast. For a good TV panel, the company asks about 90,000 rubles, which is generally traditional for Sony models.
In terms of equipment, Sony also did not fail: there are two tuners installed for cable, satellite and DVB-T2-signal. In addition, there are four HDMI inputs, three USB ports, and even the old component input on board.
Two speakers with a power of 10 W each and without a subwoofer provide high-quality and rich sound, the volume of which will be enough for a small room. If necessary, of course, you can buy a soundbar – a rating of the best models of 2019 can be found in this article .
But to the level of energy consumption, we had questions: despite the relatively small diagonal of 49 inches, the TV consumes 102.5 W in normal operation and does not support ECO mode. But ultimately, the biggest criticism is the high price.
Our review for the Sony KD-49XG9005 TV
According to the test results, the 49-inch Sony KD-49XG9005 received very good ratings and a high place in the ranking of TVs – largely due to the excellent image quality of the VA panel with 4K resolution and HDR support. The equipment is also pleasing – there are many tuners and interfaces.
Thanks to the Android operating system, we get access not only to popular streaming platforms, but also to a variety of different applications. Sound and energy efficiency are rather average here, and the price is clearly too high.
